Salary Scale: 
£20,981.75 to £25,385.54

37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Job Description:
This post is a key role within the organisation. We are looking to recruit an exceptional person who has the qualifications and experience of managing the finances of a medium size business. This post will support in developing finance systems for Citizens Advice Plymouth. You will need to have previous experience of financial accounting, good communication skills, and be well organised. Excellent IT skills are essential, and you should enjoy working as part of a busy and motivated team.

Role Purpose:
Confidentiality is paramount within our service and within our Finance department. You will be responsible for a wide variety of finance activities such as database management, monthly management accounts, budgeting and implementing budgetary requirements. You will represent the organisation with suppliers, funders and external accountants and auditors.

Excellent written and spoken English, competent administration and numeracy skills, good knowledge of finance software packages and good organisational skills are essential. A clear and logical way of working to enable effective planning abilities, especially in relation to data handling and usage, are needed. An ability to interact at all levels within an organisation is required.

Working with minimum supervision and ensuring that work conforms to agreed quality standard, guidelines and procedures. You should be able to work under pressure with a complex workload and to be able to meet deadlines, whilst undertaking a broad range of tasks. This includes creating and amending standard documentation and liaise with colleagues in order to maintain consistency in relation to policy and legislation changes.
