Salary scale:
£23,150.10 to £28,008.98 per annum

Hours:
Full-time (37 hours per week)
Working between Monday to Thursday 9:00 – 17:00, and Friday 9:00 – 16:30.

About the role:
Plymouth City Council have commissioned Citizens Advice Plymouth to deliver a targeted benefit campaign to work in partnership/alongside Plymouth City Council Community Builders as part of the Community Resilience strategy.

You will support the operational delivery of the Community Resilience project. You will need to have excellent organisational skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a new and dynamic volunteer-based project. A knowledge of benefits advice and experience in coaching and mentoring people is desirable for the post.

You will support project delivery and will be assisting the Volunteer Manager by coordinating the recruitment, training and supervision of the volunteers delivering the service. The Local Services Project Coordinator will also be responsible for networking and building a close working relationship with the community builders to set up a referral pathway into the service and partnership working. 

The project will provide benefits information, signposting, self-help, advice, and form filling services, via a volunteer-led approach. These services will be delivered across a range of channels including telephone, digital and face to face, with an emphasis on community presence and outreach.

You will be responsible to the Volunteer Manager and Local Services Management team.

Contract:
Permanent – subject to funding
