Title: Telephone & Digital Gateway Assessor

Starting salary: £15,366.22

Pay scale: £15,366.22 to £16,753.56

Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday between 09:00 – 18:30 & the occasional Saturday between 09:00 – 12:00)

Contract: Fixed term contract to 31st March 2020 (subject to continued funding)

Benefits: 25 days annual leave (pro rata), bank holidays (pro rata) and an additional 2.5 days to be taken between Christmas and the New Year (pro rata), Healthcare Plan (eligibility required), Cycle to Work scheme (eligibility required), 3% contributions to employer’s pension scheme (eligibility required).

Responsible to: Team Leader – Gateway

Work Base: Cobourg House, Mayflower Street, Plymouth

Context of role:

Gateway assessment is the first point of contact for members of the public telephoning Citizens Advice, contacting us by digital means or accessing face to face debt advice.  An assessor is there to establish what the client’s issue is, ensure that all relevant information is collected, help them resolve the issue whenever possible and provide the next best step.
