Email Information service
Email Information and Signposting
Welcome to our new information and signposting service!
We recognise that it can hard for some people to contact us during standard opening hours so we have now opened our email service. A contact form is available 24/7.
This service is available to those who live, work or study in Plymouth. If you do not live, work or study in the Plymouth area, please find your local Citizens Advice office.
Please note that we cannot guarantee an immediate response – we aim to respond within 3 working days, but this may take longer during busier periods.
Our team of skilled assessors will provide tailored information and self-help tools to help you resolve the issue. Although we aim to give you an answer to your query in our first response, we may need to contact you for more information. Please do not send multiple email advice requests.
This service is not suitable to request any appointments or ask us to assist with checking forms. Please call Adviceline, visit our Cobourg House drop-in or access your nearest community outreach for assistance. If you are facing any immediate emergencies such as threat of eviction, court action, homelessness or no food or fuel, please contact us on our Adviceline.
If you need any support with your debts, please call Citizens Advice debt helpline on 0800 240 4420 (Monday to Friday – 9am – 8pm, Saturday 9.30am – 1pm)
Please note we can only accept self-referrals. We cannot accept email information requests on this form from third parties, sent in with a client’s details. If the client has not sent it the email themselves we will not be able to help.
Cobourg House drop-in
Monday to Thursday – 9.30am to 3.30pm
Friday – 9.30am – 3pm
Please note this is an information and signposting only service.
We will not be able to support with any of the below through this channel:
- Request for call back on appointments
- Same-day or next day emergency issues
- Referrals from third parties
We are also unable to support people who do not live, work or study in Plymouth.
You can request advice via email by filling out our online form below. Please provide as much detail as possible, as we are only able to respond with one email reply per submission. We will normally respond to the email address you provide on the form and cannot be responsible if any person other than yourself has access to that email account.
Please note that by completing this referral form you agree to the following:
We will use the information you provide in your enquiry to provide you with information and to direct you to the right service. We ask our clients if they’re happy to share relevant information about their background with us. You don’t have to provide this information, but it helps us ensure we are delivering our service in a way that supports everyone and that we are reaching people from all backgrounds.
