Our skilled assessors will assess your situation and provide self-help tools and tailored information to help you resolve the issue.

If you need additional advice or assistance we may signpost to trusted services with expertise in that subject area or refer to other services or organisations either internally or externally that can provide further assistance with your query.  

How it works

Help to Claim supports clients by completing and submitting applications for Universal Credit. The clients are supported until the first correct Universal Credit payment.

You can talk to them on the phone, or online over chat.

Telephone advice

You can contact an adviser through our free Help to Claim phone service. Advisers are available 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Talk to us online

You can also chat with an adviser online about your Universal Credit application. Chat is usually available 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. It’s not available on public holidays.

Our volunteers can help you to check your benefit entitlement. Citizens Advice Plymouth are working in partnership with the Plymouth City Council Community Builders to reach clients in the community and provide this service.
