I took up volunteering with the Research & Campaigns team at Citizens Advice while I was in my third year of university. I wanted to gain more work experience and be able to help people, which Citizens Advice has been great for! Whilst volunteering with the R&C team, I’ve worked on a range of topics including writing reports on the cost of living and Council Tax. Volunteering has helped me improve my confidence and communication skills, thanks to the team and managers. I feel very supported working here, and everyone is very understanding when it comes to coursework deadlines which has made it very easy to volunteer alongside being a student. I would highly recommend volunteering with Citizens Advice!
